ASSOCIATION OF INSURANCE INSTITUTES OF THE CARIBBEAN (AIIC) |
The constitution of the AIIC sets out the objectives as follows:
- To promote the status of insurance as a profession
- To foster closer links among the Insurance Institutes of the Caribbean countries and to liaise with other bodies having similar objetives
- To encourage the establishment of insurance institutes in the Caribbean region
- To facilitate the exchange between member countries of institute executives, lecturers and/or students
- To collect and disseminate educational news and information of interest to practitioners and students
- To hold or sponsor educational conferences and seminars for the benefit of insurance professionals and practitioners
- To establish an examination council for insurance accreditation
- To establish a Caribbean College of Insurance to improve the quality of professional insurance education
- To foster or develop close links and/or working relationships or become a member of extra regional institutes or insurance education bodies which would benefit insurance education in the Caribbean
