the Conference
The following information provides a brief overview of the 25th
Annual Caribbean Insurance Conference. The theme for the Conference
was 25 Years And Growing Stronger.
The educational sessions included thought provoking themes on Natural
Disasters in the region and key issues affecting the life sector.
The Conference was held for the second time at Barceló Bávaro
Beach Resort and Barceló Bávaro Convention Center,
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The conference enjoyed a high delegate turnout for the celebration
of the silver anniversary of IAC’s Annual Caribbean Insurance
Conference. A total of 519 persons attended the conference including
delegates, guests, exhibitors and presenters. There were insurance
companies from various sectors including Agents, Brokers, Life,
Non-Life, Regulators and Reinsurers.
Thirty-four countries were represented by various insurances from
all over the world. Countries which were represented and did not
originate from non-Caribbean countries, USA, England or Canada included:
Denmark, Dominican Republic, Haiti, India, Mexico, Netherland Antilles,
Panama, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands
and Venezuela.
The conference was very successful and we would like to take this
time out to thank all those who attended the conference.
